Laura Barrett - OT

Laura is a Pediatric Occupational Therapist who attended college at Louisiana State University and Northeast Louisiana University. She graduated in 1996 from North Louisiana University and has been practicing in pediatrics for 24 years. Laura’s areas of specialty include high risk neonates, early intervention, and feeding deficits. Laura has worked in diverse settings including hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Units, Inpatient Acute and Chronic Care, as well as Early Intervention and various outpatient pediatric settings. Certifications include: Vital Stimulation, Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation Therapy, Neonatal Oral Motor Assessment Scale, Neurodevelopmental Treatment in Pediatrics, Certified Infant Touch and Massage Therapist, Sequential Oral Sensory Feeding Skills Feeding Approach, and Sensory Integration and Praxis Test Training. Laura lives in Hickory, NC with her 3 children. She enjoys running, being outdoors, and spending time with her family.
