Elizabeth "Liz" Wise - CBRS

Hello! My name is Elizabeth Wise! I have been working with Little Angels Therapy, INC (LAT) going on 8 years.  I received my Bachelors Degree in Sociology from Fayetteville State University. During my final year of college I gave birth to our first son, Preston. He was born with Congenital Cytomegalovirus (cCMV) and needed Early Intervention (EI) upon leaving the hospital.  Through some of our family’s most difficult days we were introduced to the Children’s Developmental Service Agency (CDSA) and Nicole Ford with Little Angels Therapy. As a parent, I have experienced the hard conversations about Developmental Delays, Diagnosis, and questions about what our future will hold. Each situation is unique and our feelings are ours to experience. Just know that you are not alone. After 8 months of EI services I knew Early Intervention was what I was called to do. I was graciously offered a position as a Community Based Rehabilitative Service Provider (CBRS) with LAT in October 2012. I enjoy working with all families but I have a special interest in Autism Spectrum Disorder and Cerebral Palsy. I have a child on the Spectrum and a child with CP/Hearing Loss/Sensory Processing Disorder. Our family has first hand experience with Foster Care; having worked with Social Workers, Guardian ad Litem and maintaining Sibling Visits. I am familiar with the emotions, lingo and the long term process.

I love to learn and continue to work toward professional development when I have the opportunity. I am a mother first. We have 4 children that keep us busy!  I am proud to serve our community and look forward to continued growth as a Parent and Professional. I have had the privilege of training many of our CBRS Providers and feel that we are not only co-workers, we are family.
